Our geographic location, our soil and our weather conditions provide an outstanding site to grow a wide variety of chestnut tree cultivars. In this way, we can work on and select the best chestnuts for our customers (Parede, Courelá, Negral cultivars…).

Recent studies conducted by the Tree Research Group of the University of Santiago de Compostela rank chestnut trees grown in El Bierzo among the best in Spain. This led to us obtain the quality assurance seal “Castañas del Bierzo” [El Bierzo Chestnuts].
